Good morning to my friends and fellow Republicans,
Upon careful reflection and consultation with the Lincoln Day committee regarding the current COVID 19 pandemic, I believe it prudent to indefinitely postpone our Lincoln Day dinner.
Our country is in a dynamic and threatening situation with changes occurring daily, and though the end result may be less devastating than predicted we cannot at this time determine those results. Our duty as citizens and organizers of this event is to be proactive and prevent risk to those attendees, especially the large number of elderly.
With heartfelt appreciation and respect for the effort that went into organizing this event I commend our Central Committee for supporting this decision to postpone.
The gun raffle will continue with a drawing at our regular May meeting, however ticket money will be refunded.
